How we know

Assessed

Desk research, 24 September 2026. The four UK product pages we checked (boxers, a bra, socks and a sweater) each give a full composition: bamboo viscose, cotton, nylon, polyester and elastane. The brand says “All Boody products are PETA-Approved certified, meaning no animal products are used”. We could not find Boody in PETA’s register of approved companies, so that mark earns nothing until it is confirmed. Its B Corp certification is confirmed in B Lab’s directory (134.4, certified October 2021). It publishes no testing declaration, no factory list, and no name for the company that turns its Sichuan bamboo into yarn. Its UK sustainability page says it works only with “Fair Trade certified” factories. We found nothing to back that up, and it is one of the first things we will ask about. Its take-back scheme runs in Australia, not the UK.

Questions people ask about Boody

Is Boody vegan?
On the published evidence we reviewed, we found no animal-derived materials in Boody's current range. The brand has not yet confirmed that in writing, which is one of the things an audit asks for.
Does Boody test on animals?
We found no evidence that it does. It has not yet given us a signed no-testing declaration, so we cannot confirm it either.
What is Boody's Fashion Without Cruelty score?
20 of 100, assessed from published evidence. 85 or more, with both gates clear and an evidence audit on file, earns the Good badge; 45 of the points still open depend on evidence only the brand can give.
Can Boody earn the Good badge?
Yes, if it reaches 85 points and completes an evidence audit with us. Published evidence alone takes a brand to about 55.
