How the score breaks down
How we know
Desk research, 24 September 2026. We checked about sixteen product pages across bags, shoes, clothing and accessories. Everything named “leather”, “suede”, “feather”, “fur” or “pearl” turned out to be polyurethane, polyester or plastic, so on what we can see it clears both gates. It scores nothing on the rubric because it publishes almost nothing we can check. There is no whole-range vegan statement, no testing declaration and no vegan mark: it is not in PETA’s register, though other sites say it is. It names no materials or makers, and several pages say only “Vegan Leather”. A zero here is not a verdict on the bags. It measures how little the brand has put in writing.
Sources
Every source we relied on, checked on . Pages change: if one of these now says something different, tell us and we will re-check.

Questions people ask about JW PEI
- Is JW PEI vegan?
- On the published evidence we reviewed, we found no animal-derived materials in JW PEI's current range. The brand has not yet confirmed that in writing, which is one of the things an audit asks for.
- Does JW PEI test on animals?
- We found no evidence that it does. It has not yet given us a signed no-testing declaration, so we cannot confirm it either.
- What is JW PEI's Fashion Without Cruelty score?
- 0 of 100, assessed from published evidence. 85 or more, with both gates clear and an evidence audit on file, earns the Good badge; 45 of the points still open depend on evidence only the brand can give.
- Can JW PEI earn the Good badge?
- Yes, if it reaches 85 points and completes an evidence audit with us. Published evidence alone takes a brand to about 55.
