How we know
Desk research, 22 October 2026. We read the specifications of 46 Philip Jones products (nine product pages and 37 records from its product feed) and searched the site for pearl, mother of pearl, shell, leather and watch. The range includes freshwater pearls (the Freshwater Baroque Pearl T-Bar Bridal Bracelet), mother of pearl (the Mother of Pearl Necklace, one of more than 300 results), Abalone Shell Pear Drop Earrings, pieces labelled shell pearl, and men’s bracelets in genuine leather, so the brand does not pass our materials gate. Listings name the metal, base metal and stone consistently, but not the cord on stretch bracelets, what shell pearl is, or packaging materials. The site publishes no animal-free or no-testing statement, no supplier list and no certifications, and calls its Zircondia crystals ethical and sustainable without evidence.

Questions people ask about Philip Jones Jewellery
- Is Philip Jones Jewellery vegan?
- No. Philip Jones Jewellery sells pearl, mother-of-pearl, shell and leather, so its range is not vegan and it carries our animal-materials tag. We list its animal-free pieces with the tag beside them, after every brand that clears both gates, so you know what the range includes before you buy.
- Does Philip Jones Jewellery test on animals?
- We found no evidence that it does. It has not yet given us a signed no-testing declaration, so we cannot confirm it either.
- What is Philip Jones Jewellery's Fashion Without Cruelty score?
- 0 of 100, for what it publishes. Because it sells animal-derived materials it carries our animal-materials tag, is listed after every brand that clears both gates, and cannot earn the Good badge.
- Can Philip Jones Jewellery earn the Good badge?
- Not while it sells animal-derived materials. A brand with the animal-materials tag cannot be verified, and no fee changes that.
