How we know

Assessed

Desk research, 24 September 2026. ROMBAUT describes itself as “100% vegan” and “built entirely around a vegan ethos”, and all nine product pages we checked, from trainers to bags and knitwear, are synthetic, plant-based or recycled. That statement earns its points and almost nothing else does. Shoe pages often give the upper but not the lining or insole. “Beyond Leather” and “Future Leather” are the brand’s own names with no named maker behind them, and one “Beyond Leather” bag is listed as 100% PU. There is no testing declaration, factory list, vegan mark or dated report.

Questions people ask about ROMBAUT

Is ROMBAUT vegan?
On the published evidence we reviewed, we found no animal-derived materials in ROMBAUT's current range. The brand has also confirmed it in writing.
Does ROMBAUT test on animals?
We found no evidence that it does. It has not yet given us a signed no-testing declaration, so we cannot confirm it either.
What is ROMBAUT's Fashion Without Cruelty score?
5 of 100, assessed from published evidence. 85 or more, with both gates clear and an evidence audit on file, earns the Good badge; 40 of the points still open depend on evidence only the brand can give.
Can ROMBAUT earn the Good badge?
Yes, if it reaches 85 points and completes an evidence audit with us. Published evidence alone takes a brand to about 55.
