How the score breaks down
How we know
Desk research, 10 October 2026. We read all 195 listings: every sock is cotton, bamboo, nylon, polyester or elastane, with the percentages on each page, and the “Vegan Sock” is a sock printed with vegetables rather than a claim about materials. B Lab’s directory confirms Stand4 is a B Corp (certified February 2023, score 135.2), and for every pair sold it gives a pair to someone homeless. One line needs an answer: its impact page lists “Responsible Wool Standard wool” among its certified materials without saying which product uses it. Nothing on sale contains wool, so the brand clears the gate on what it sells; we have asked where the wool goes, and if it is in anything Stand4 sells, the brand will carry a red tag. It names no factories, mills or bamboo source and publishes no testing declaration.

Questions people ask about Stand4 Socks
- Is Stand4 Socks vegan?
- On the published evidence we reviewed, we found no animal-derived materials in Stand4 Socks's current range. The brand has not yet confirmed that in writing, which is one of the things an audit asks for.
- Does Stand4 Socks test on animals?
- We found no evidence that it does. It has not yet given us a signed no-testing declaration, so we cannot confirm it either.
- What is Stand4 Socks's Fashion Without Cruelty score?
- 20 of 100, assessed from published evidence. 85 or more, with both gates clear and an evidence audit on file, earns the Good badge; 45 of the points still open depend on evidence only the brand can give.
- Can Stand4 Socks earn the Good badge?
- Yes, if it reaches 85 points and completes an evidence audit with us. Published evidence alone takes a brand to about 55.
